#5 Best Seller in Desktops
$399.00
★★★★☆ 4.3/5 (1,137 ratings)
Our Take
I’ve been tracking the Dell Optiplex 3060’s performance in the refurbished market, and it’s impressive how this machine maintains a 4.3-star rating across 1,137 reviews. What caught my attention is the substantial upgrade package – 32GB of DDR4 RAM paired with a 1TB SSD, which transforms what was originally a basic office computer into something much more capable.
The Intel i5-8500 processor running at 3.2GHz isn’t the newest chip, but I’d argue it’s still perfectly adequate for most home and office tasks. The inclusion of built-in WiFi and Bluetooth eliminates the need for dongles, which I appreciate. The RGB lighting kit feels like an odd addition to a business-focused Dell chassis, but it’s a nice touch that sets this refurbished unit apart.
At $399, you’re getting solid value – that RAM and SSD combination alone would cost nearly half the total price if purchased separately. The 70% five-star rating suggests most buyers are satisfied, though the 11% one-star reviews indicate some units arrive with minor issues. Since it’s from a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, you’ll get support if problems arise. Just don’t expect cutting-edge gaming performance from this configuration.
