I’ve been testing the Amazon Basics 24-inch monitor, and it’s genuinely impressive what you can get for $84.81 these days. With a 4.5-star rating from 702 customers and 76% giving it five stars, this display punches well above its weight class.
What struck me most is the IPS panel quality – colors look vibrant and viewing angles stay consistent, which isn’t always guaranteed at this price point. The 1080P resolution is crisp on the 23.8-inch viewable area, and I appreciate that it can push up to 100Hz for smoother motion. The built-in speakers won’t replace a dedicated sound system, but they’re surprisingly decent for basic audio needs.
The VESA compatibility is a nice touch if you want to mount it later. Just remember to peel off that protective film before you panic about image quality – Amazon warns about this for good reason.
My main gripe is that you’ll need to manage expectations on premium features. This isn’t a gaming powerhouse or color-critical workstation display.
